Project Overview
A Ray of Hope follows Mia, a survivor of sex trafficking, as she rebuilds her life from trauma to triumph. Partnering with Selah Freedom, the project combined ethical filmmaking with community outreach — culminating in a public screening and awareness event that brought together leaders, advocates, and residents of Sarasota.
Objectives
Create a documentary that authentically depicts survivor recovery and empowerment
Partner with a local nonprofit to increase awareness of trafficking prevention
Plan and execute a public film screening and discussion panel
Mobilize community support through storytelling and engagement
Scope of Work
Pre-Production: Story development, ethical framework, budgeting, scheduling
Production: Direction of interviews, cinematography oversight, crew management
Post-Production: Editing supervision, color/sound review, promotional content creation
Event Coordination: Venue booking, panel organization, marketing and media outreach
